New Castle County Reads Event welcomes author Victoria Christopher Murray to the Chase Center to learn about the partnership between First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and civil rights activist Mary McLeod Bethune- an unlikely friendship that changed the world, from the New York Times best selling author Victoria Christopher Murray, co author of the book, The First Ladies.

Victoria Christopher Murray Co-authored the book with Marie Benedict.  Marie has a previous engagement and is unable to attend.

Please join us on Wednesday, April 8th, 2026.  The evening will begin at 7:00 pm in Wilmington Hall at the Chase Center at the Riverfront, 815 Justison Street, Wilmington, DE. 19801.  There is plenty of Free parking and easy access to Rt. 95

The talk will be followed by Q & A and book signing in Governors’ Hall.
