New Castle County Reads 2019 Presents ~ “An Evening with Hillary Jordan”

Hilliary Jordan’s debut novel, Mudbound, won the prestigious Bellwether Prize for socially Engaged Fiction.  It is a gripping story of murder, betrayal and forbidden love set on a farm in the Mississippi Delta.  Mudbound follows two families, one black and one white, who are forced to confront the brutal realities of prejudice in the World War II-era Jim Crow South.  In 2017,  Mudbound was adapted into a critically acclaimed film that was debuted at Sundance and was acquired by Netflix.

This event is open to the public and is Free.  No Tickets are required.  Ms. Jordan will speak from 7:00pm until about 8:00pm. There will be a question and answer period included in that time frame.  If guests bring a copy of her book, Ms. Jordan will autograph the copy of the book after the talk.

Barnes and Noble will be selling copies of her book at the event.
