Brendan Slocumb is the author of The Violin Conspiracy the New Castle County Reads 2024 book selection. It is the story of a young Black musician who discovers that his old family fiddle is a priceless Stradivarius: when it’s stolen on the eve of the world’s most prestigious classical music competition, he risks everything to get it back.

The event is annual. Each year, it is held at the Chase Center on the Riverfront. 815 Justison Street, Wilmington, DE 19801. The event will run from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. There is time for Q &A with the author and an opportunity to get your book signed. It is free to the public. There is plenty of parking.
